Spring cleaning appears like a straightforward concept, an annual ritual where, using the best of intentions, we clean and clear out the "old" to make space for that "new" that comes using the advent of spring. However, very few people look ahead to this ritual. Instead, we imagine ourselves spending too much time scrubbing on our hands and knees, and sneezing coming from all the dust. At this time, we also think of disposing of lots of things cluttering our liveable space that individuals haven't useful for years but we still don't wish to release. And that's when "Spring Cleaning" becomes much, far more; it is a ritual that you should undertaken regularly.
As part of my healing journey, I practice clearing my head and the entire body of clutter and debris - physical, mental and emotional. Keeping my home clean and away from clutter is an extension of my success during my daily practice for peace and harmony. For most of us, spring facilitates for us the ability to open up the windows cleaning and clearing out the stagnant energy of a long, cold winter to start out anew. I find that I must constantly let it go, releasing my attachments to things specially when I realize that they can will no longer serve me.
So because you begin your Spring Cleaning this coming year, make it your ultimate goal to purposefully and joyfully clean and get rid of your own home, clutter, dust and all. Take some time with this important ritual to watch yourself and ask questions. What objects are you attached to? What are you currently keeping that is certainly cluttering not merely your living quarters, your inner life as well, your true self? Why is it so painful to donate that raggedy old doll that you received for the seventh birthday? What section of your past do you think you're holding? • Set a fair period of time for Spring Cleaning. Often, it will take you greater day or possibly a weekend.
